Deep down inside of you lie all the answers you need, my friend. In this meditation, I guide you into the stillness where those answers live and help you practice the art of hearing. Welcome, my friend. I'm Karli Newman, your favorite Gen X dealer of positive vibes, Life and Wellness Coach, and Founder of FLIPSIDE OF MIDLIFE®, a community for women in midlife and beyond. I created this meditation to support your listening practice. May it fill you with trust and faith in what you hear. Let's begin. Find a comfortable position seated or lying down, whatever feels right for your body right now. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. Unclench your jaw. Soften your hands. Let your eyes close or lower your gaze if that's more comfortable. Take a slow, easy breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Again, inhale and exhale. One more time, breathing in. This time hold at the top and then let it go. Allow your breath to return to its natural pattern, my friend, and as you do, imagine yourself settling into a very still, very quiet place, a place where you feel safe, light with good energy, and completely at ease. Now, notice that this place is inside of you. It's always been here, and it encompasses everything you need. Take another big breath and exhale, and allow yourself to sink a little deeper into that stillness. Bring to mind something you've been seeking an answer to. Something where you've been looking outward for guidance when the answers are here inside of you, my friend. No pressure, no urgency. Just allow this question to float in your mind and heart. Place one hand on your heart. Feel the warmth of your body. Feel the steady rhythm of your breath. Here in the stillness, your heart and mind can work together to illuminate the answers you seek. They may not come to you as you're sitting here now, but they will come to you, my friend. The answers you seek may just need a bit of time to emerge. Have faith. Have trust in yourself that they will show themselves to you. Notice this is an easy space. There's no pushing here, there's no effort, there's no striving to figure it all out. This space is about releasing those things, about letting them float away so the answers can come to the surface. Take another nice big deep breath in and out. Notice if anything has come up for you, like a sensation in your body or sense of knowing. Perhaps a greater sense of peace than you had at the beginning of our time together. Here in this quiet space, this stillness deep inside of you is where your inner wisdom can speak to you clearly. And it's not always in words. Here is where you build this faith and trust that the answers do live inside of you. Ask yourself, what do I already know that I haven't been quiet enough to hear? Let it float to the surface or just sit in the quiet, enjoying this peace and stillness. Let's finish here with a nice big breath in and out. Start to bring your awareness back to the space you're in. Wiggle your fingers and toes slowly. Maybe fidget a bit and allow your eyes to open when you're ready. Remember this place of stillness, my friend. Use this meditation to come back to this place of stillness to practice hearing the answers that live in you. You are the expert on you, my friend. And in those moments when you want to seek external guidance, first check in with yourself. Your lived experiences and the growth that you've done in your lifetime can share many answers with you, my friend. Trust them. Thank you so much for spending this time with me.
