Hi there! I'm Karli Newman, and this is my podcast, FLIPSIDE OF MIDLIFE®.
In my mid-40s, my positive mindset was tested. I felt life was passing me by. I was restless in my career even though I loved my job, and exhausted after years of ignoring my self-care. PLUS the hormonal shifts of perimenopause were affecting me in ways I didn't know or understand.
Externally I maintained a positive attitude. Internally I struggled with changing my life’s direction. I didn't talk about it and it took me years to work through it.
Over time I took some big leaps, including a move back to Arizona. I created a new approach to my life and maximized my innate positivity. That’s how I ended up here - helping women like you tap into your positive mindset and inner expertise to see and seize the possibilities around you. I don’t want you to do this alone!
I’m a certified coach focused on whole-life wellness. I know from personal experience what a transformational time of life this is and how challenging it feels sometimes! I’m here to help you navigate obstacles, uncover how to move forward, and continue your unique journey of personal growth and self-discovery.
I intentionally create short episodes that fit into your busy life and get you thinking about your well-being. I cover topics that the women in this community care about (that's you BTW!).

Hi there, my friend. It's me, Karli, your favorite Gen X dealer of positive vibes, Life and Wellness Coach and community builder for women in midlife and beyond. Thank you so much for joining me for this guided meditation. I created it to help you believe, to know, that abundance is meant for you. Find a comfortable space and position for this meditation. Sit down or lie down, whichever is most comfortable for you, and fidget into the surface you're on. Roll your shoulders. Tip your head side to side. Wiggle your seat, get really comfortable where you can fully relax into this meditation. Let's begin with a focus on our breath. We'll do three box breaths, inhale for four. 3, 2, 1. Hold, 3, 2, 1. Exhale. 3, 2, 1. Hold, 3, 2, 1. Inhale. Hold. Exhale. Hold. Inhale. Hold. Exhale. Hold. Allow your breath to return to a natural pattern. if you still feel any tension in your body, go ahead and fidget that out. Direct your breath there. Now picture yourself standing at the end of a hallway looking down to a closed door at the end. The lighting is soft. There's a lovely fragrance in the air. It's quiet, and as you're looking at this door, feel your curiosity grow. Take a few steps closer to that door and start to notice it's details. What is the door made of? What does the door handle look like? What shape is the door? Take a few steps closer. put your hand on it, and just feel what might be on the other side. Now look down at the door handle and notice that there is a lock that only a skeleton key would fit. How much do you want to know what's on the other side of that door? Think about the texture under your hand when you touch the door. And then look back down at the lock. The key has magically appeared there. Go ahead. It's okay. Unlock that door. Push it open and just stay in the hallway to notice what's on the other side. Coming out of this space are beautiful feelings that fill you with joy, with an energy that warms you, it surrounds you and pulls you into the room. Now that you're in the space, take a moment to look around. Notice what you see. You know that this space, this room, is meant for you and you alone. So go ahead, explore this space. Notice all the details you can. Every object represents a form of abundance. It's all yours. Pick up an object that has been speaking to you since you walked in. Hold it in your hand. If it's too big to hold, just place your hand on it. Close your eyes and really feel how that object of abundance makes you feel. What energy does it send into your body? What visions come to mind? Take a nice big breath as you are holding or touching this object, and then exhale slowly and really soak in the vibes, the really good vibes, that this room is filled with. This is your room of abundance, my friend. This is your space. No one else has the key. It's all meant for you. Take a look around the room again and say to yourself, this abundance is all mine. This abundance is meant for me. I am worthy of all of this. If you're still holding that object or touching it, go ahead and remove your hand or set it down. And take one last look around the room, sealing it into your memory. Now slowly walk out of the room, turn around, shut that door, and use the key to lock it. Leave the key in the lock. Take a nice big breath in, and as you exhale, that key disappears. Know my friend, that that room, that space is there for you and you alone. You can return there at any time. That hallway will not show up for anyone else. That door is there just for you. That key will appear anytime you place your hand on that door and you imagine what's on the other side. All of that abundance waiting for you, meant for you, know that you are worthy of all of it. Go ahead and walk back down that hallway. When you get to the end, turn around, look at the door again. Take a nice big breath in and exhale. And now start to pay attention to the space you're in right now by wiggling your fingers and toes, listening to what's going on around you. Use your senses to bring you back to the here and now. And when it feels right, go ahead and open your eyes. Hold onto the feelings of abundance. Hold onto your memories of that door, how it felt when that key appeared, knowing that that space is yours, and yours alone, and all of the abundance that is behind that door, it's meant for you, my friend. Feel free to revisit anytime you're doubting that you're worthy of having an abundant life. There's a room for every single person. A special hallway with a special door, with special contents in that room. Every single one of us is meant for abundance. Knowing where to look can be a key that unlocks it all.
