Hey there, it's me, Karli, your favorite GenX dealer of positive vibes, community builder and Life and Wellness coach for women in midlife and beyond. Thanks for joining me here for this guided meditation. As women in midlife and beyond, it is so easy to feel like you're the only one experiencing certain physical changes, emotions, struggles. But I am here to tell you over and over and over again that you are not alone. This is exactly why I'm building the FLIPSIDE OF MIDLIFE® community. You deserve to have a place to land where you feel safe, seen and connected. A kind and positive space where other women understand what you're feeling and experiencing, even if it's not exactly the same. In this guided meditation, I'll help you feel a warm sense of belonging. Start by finding a comfortable position. You can sit or lie down, if that feels more comfortable. Feel free to fidget a little bit, roll your shoulders, stretch your neck. Relax your jaw, your hands, your belly, and let's start with a nice big breath in through your nose and out gently through your mouth. Take two more big breaths that feel good to you, and then return to your natural breath pattern. If thoughts start coming into your mind, just let them float away. Bring your attention back to your breath to help you focus again. And imagine yourself sitting on the floor. It's so comfortable. The room is the perfect temperature. The room smells so nice. It feels so good to be in this space. The door opens and several women come into the room and join you in a circle. You feel their energy. It's kind, it's supportive. It's friendly. You notice a glowing light inside each of you. You feel yours in your heart. The light is soft at first, but starts to glow a little bit brighter in each of you. You notice filaments of light extending out from each of the women in the circle. Almost like little spider webs. These filaments reach out and connect with the other women in the circle. There's not a pull on these filaments of light, but there's a connection between you. You feel the good energy in the room coming into you and extending out from you. Connecting. Sharing. With no words at all. Feel how good it feels to be connected. To know you're not alone, to feel supported and to support. Each of you makes eye contact looking at every woman in the circle. And the light filaments between you glow even brighter. They start to fade and dissolve in the air, but you can still feel your connection with these other women, with this space, in this circle. You know that this connection does not dissolve even though those filaments are no longer there. Hold this feeling in your heart. Take a nice big breath in and let it out. Start to bring your attention back to the room you're in. Wiggle your fingers and toes and gently flutter your eyes open. If it's helpful, put your hands on your heart. Feel that warmth. Sit here for a moment and know that you can revisit this meditation anytime you want to feel that warm sense of connection and belonging. I am taking a break for a few weeks, my friend, but I'll be back in mid-September. Until then, revisit your favorite guided visualizations and meditations here or on insight timer.
