Hi there! I'm Karli Newman, and this is my podcast, FLIPSIDE OF MIDLIFE®.
In my mid-40s, my positive mindset was tested. I felt life was passing me by. I was restless in my career even though I loved my job, and exhausted after years of ignoring my self-care. PLUS the hormonal shifts of perimenopause were affecting me in ways I didn't know or understand.
Externally I maintained a positive attitude. Internally I struggled with changing my life’s direction. I didn't talk about it and it took me years to work through it.
Over time I took some big leaps, including a move back to Arizona. I created a new approach to my life and maximized my innate positivity. That’s how I ended up here - helping women like you tap into your positive mindset and inner expertise to see and seize the possibilities around you. I don’t want you to do this alone!
I’m a certified coach focused on whole-life wellness. I know from personal experience what a transformational time of life this is and how challenging it feels sometimes! I’m here to help you navigate obstacles, uncover how to move forward, and continue your unique journey of personal growth and self-discovery.
I intentionally create short episodes that fit into your busy life and get you thinking about your well-being. I cover topics that the women in this community care about (that's you BTW!).

Hi there, my friend. I'm Karli Newman, a GenX woman, community builder, and life coach for women in midlife and beyond. I am so grateful to have you here in the FLIPSIDE OF MIDLIFE® community.
My episodes of FLIPSIDE OF MIDLIFE® tend to be a little shorter at the end of the month because I focus on helping you reflect. When you are reflecting, prompts come in very handy to help you dig into the meaty stuff.
Grab your journal, notebook, or favorite app, my friend. I've got three prompts coming up to enhance your reflection on self-love.

Prompt number one, what beliefs about self-love have you uncovered over the past month?
Prompt number two, what self-love expressions feel best to you? What do you want to try that you haven't yet?
And the third prompt, what challenges or resistance have you noticed in yourself when it comes to self-love?
Give yourself the gift of thinking, writing, and revisiting these prompts over the next few days. Maybe you start with one over each of the next three mornings or write your initial thoughts on all three and revisit them for the next three evenings or mornings.
When you go through your day, your mind works in the background to reveal more layers. Those layers allow you to understand yourself. This self-awareness helps you accept where you are and take action to shift to where you want to be. That all sounds like self-love to me, my friend.
As your self-love deepens, you experience the expansion of your well-being and satisfaction with life. Your self-love journey will take you to beautiful places.
