Okay, let's dive into the episode.

The end of a month is always a meaningful time to reflect on the past few weeks, celebrate what went well, and notice where you are.

But there's something extra special about the end of January. Your chosen intentions for the year, and the reasons behind them, are still fresh in your mind. You're only a few weeks in, so it feels less overwhelming to pivot or get back on track.

I encourage you to create space in the next few days to think about January.

Notice what went well and felt really good. Appreciate the bumps in the road and the difficult challenges, too.

Next, think of your word, phrase, theme, or image for the year. Does it still light you up? Or do you feel like it needs some tweaking?

You don't need hours for this, my friend. Fifteen, twenty minutes and a cozy thinking spot with a journal, notebook, or your favorite app can be more than enough. Don't let this part overwhelm you.

After reflecting, celebrate what you are proud of from the past few weeks. Treat yourself! Maybe it's your favorite coffee drink or a little gift you've been eyeing. Or maybe it's just an hour to do nothing, just be. Soak in the good vibes you created.

Once you've celebrated, it's time to look ahead.

Adjust or reaffirm your intentions and decide what matters most for the new month. Based on where you are, how can you nurture your positive mindset,
practice self-compassion, and take steps forward?

Here are four prompts to help you. 

  • What is one thing you can shift or let go of in the next month?
  • What is one thing you can explore or bring to the next month?
  • What feels most important to you for February? 
  • And the last prompt, what is one outcome you want to celebrate at the end of February? 

With these answers in mind, go to your planner or calendar and make notes where you'll see them. Add reminders, break down action steps that move you toward your desired outcome, and block out white space for you. 

As we move into February, remember that this is your journey. Celebrate how far you've come and step forward into the next month with intention and self-compassion.
